WHO ARE WE?

ANCOP stands for ANswering the Cry of the Poor. It is a program founded by Couples for Christ (CFC), a faith based Vatican recognized international lay organization of the faithful that has a worldwide membership and active in over 100 countries and dependent territories, and was made for the purpose of consolidating CFC’s effort in BUILDING THE CHURCH OF THE POOR. THE ANCOP VISION

Families in the Holy Spirit Sharing Christ’s Transforming Love with the Poor
This enhanced vision of ANCOP underscores clearly its connectedness to CFC whose vision is to be “Families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth.” CFC, through its two-fold mission of Building the Church of the Home and Building the Church of the Poor through ANCOP will renew the face of the earth by building up strong families ready to share God’s transforming love with the poor. The statement also emphasizes that it is CFC and all its members who are at the forefront of the vision and who will be its “heart and soul.” ANCOPs enhanced vision carries with it two (2) of the most important pastoral subjects of Pope Francis’ papacy – the family and the poor.

We foster an environment of caring and sharing in the societies where we are present. We engage a widening network of partners to achieve Social Justice and Total Christian Liberation. We help ensure the dignity of the poor.

Goal 40 @ 40 – Reaching out to 40,000 families in 5 years
This means that CFCs mission with the poor through ANCOP will bring God’s transforming love to 40,000 poor families through its various programs, including Values Formation and, even in some instances, the Christian Life Program and the YFC and SFC camps, within 5 years – culminating in CFCs 40th year anniversary in 2021.

Jojo Reandelar, President and CEO

Jojo Reandelar had a long and fruitful career with Colgate-Palmolive Company, starting in its

Philippine subsidiary where he was Legal Director and Corporate Secretary and Regional Marketing Counsel for Asia. He opted to retire early in 2017 when he was the company’s Global Director, Marketing Compliance at its corporate headquarters in New York City, and focused his attention on family and his role in Couples for Christ (CFC). He is a Philippine licensed lawyer and certified public accountant, and started his career as Auditor at Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co., the Philippine’s largest auditing firm. His wide corporate experience included stints in the banking industry, in education and in government service. In the Philippines, he was actively involved in various social and charitable projects and was First Vice President of the Association of Makati Industries. He and his wife, Chay, have been with the CFC since 1995 and he currently serves as a member of CFC USA’s National Council overseeing Ancop and the Catholic Church Relations Office.

Nanding Carandang

Mr. Hernando (“Nanding”) Carandang, is a Mechanical Engineer by profession,

a graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology, the Philippines’ most prestigious engineering school. Originally from San Luis, Batangas, Philippines. He worked with the National Food Authority of the Philippine government for 25 years before migrating to the United States in 1997. He and his wife, Merlee, joined Couples for Christ (CFC) in 1986, and is serving as CFC’s National Events Coordinator and National Overseer of Ablaze, CFC’s social communications arm.

Eligio Labog
Cholo Labog had a long banking experience at Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, one of the biggest banks in the Philippines.

He worked for the bank for 34 years and retired as Executive Vice President in 2016. He and his wife, Cristy, have been members of Couples for Christ (CFC) for 37 years and had been designated Country Coordinator overseeing CFC USA.

Vincent Cabrera

Vincent Cabrera is an engineer by profession. His whole family

— he and his wife, Shirley, and their 3 children, Michael, Grace and Raphael — are members of the Couples for Christ community in California, where he serves as the community’s National Overseer for Finance and Gift of Life. He says that joining Couples for Christ had been the best decision he and Shirley had made in their married life and is unsure what their family life would be without Couples for Christ.

Noli Calingo

Noli Calingo has over 30 years experience in the field of architecture, design. and construction industry.

He is currently serves as Regional Head of Couples for Christ (CFC) for South Central A covering Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. He and his wife, Evelyn, have been members of CFC for 25 years.

Judy Allarey

Romy Dacayanan

Romy Dacayanan has over 25 years in the banking and finance industry

and is currently working with Bank of America, one of the top banks in the US. Previous to his present employment, he served as Associate Consultant in a private personnel consulting outfit and had a notable stint in the Philippine government. He has an MBA from the Graduate School of Business of Ateneo de Manila University, the Philippines’ most prestigious university. He has been with Couples for Christ (CFC) for 28 years and currently serves as a member of the CFC USA National Council as Evangelization-Mission overseer.

Roel Moldez is currently working as Business Systems Analyst since 2006 at The Kamson Corporation, a property

management organization based in New Jersey, USA. ] Previous to his current job, he worked at the Cagayan Electric Power & Light Co. Inc. in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines for more than twenty years as AVP-for Information Technology and Human Resources. He currently serves as mission volunteer of Couples for Christ (CFC) for NorthEast-A Region. He and his wife, Nancy, have been members of CFC for 23 years.

Jonas Pineda’s background is in Education, but he spent majority of his professional life in

Sales and Marketing. Prior to moving to the US, he worked for a French multinational pharmaceutical company where he led events, facilitated round-table discussions and maintained business relationships with key-opinion leaders in healthcare. He is currently with the Ground Transportation Office of DFW International Airport. Jonas and his wife Ghia joined CFC in 2014. He is currently serving as DFW’s ANCOP Area Coordinator. Aside from home life, work, service for ANCOP and other ministries of CFC, he is an annual-volunteer of North Texas Food Bank.

Cecilio G. Adraneda had a long finance & banking experience at Ayala Investment and Development Corporation

in the Philippines, and also with First Chicago/Chase bank in the US from which he resigned as Assistant Vice President in 1985 to establish his own Accounting and Tax Practice as a CPA and tax practitioner until 2008 and retired. He and his wife, Sally, has been serving Couples for Christ for 23 years. He also served in the Finance Committee of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida from 2013 to 2015.
