WowGK: GK PASKUHAN   STARTS OCTOBER 25!
Silent Auction, Soup Dinner, Exhibit, Concert

Event Primer Since its inception, Gawad Kalinga has come to mean Christmas for many. Christmas signifies love and giving of one’s self. Through GK, we have been able to share and spread love to others by giving of ourselves.

Thus, our theme for our 2008 WowGK is "GK Paskuhan." Even though it will be in November 2008, we are calling it GK Paskuhan to signify that with GK, it is Christmas year round. We give care every day of the year.

The WowGK event itself will be a celebration of our love for each other and for the Lord, bringing together everyone who has something to share to the least of our brethren, as we build a nation of God.

Our Goals
  1. SHOW GK’s TRANSPARENCY: Showcase the different GK Villages that have been built to date with the help of local partners and volunteers.
  2. HIGHLIGHT GK PRODUCTIVITY: Emphasize the sustainability of GK by presenting the GK productivity program and promoting the GK economy with the auction of different GK products.
  3. BUILD UP CULTURE OF CARING & SHARING. Everyone could creatively share their time, talent, skills, and expertise to GK through the Silent Auction and directly relate it to a village in need.
  4. PROVIDE AN AVENUE FOR GK INVOLVEMENT (GK1MB): Those who signed up for GK1MB now have a concrete way of getting involved.
  5. PROMOTE THE GK VILLAGE BUILDER: Give our present GK Village Builders an avenue to bring greater awareness about their village and raise funds / resources for their village.
